Edelman Financial Engines is committed to acting in the best interest of our clients. We believe that all investors — not just the wealthy — deserve personalized, comprehensive financial planning and investment advice. Today’s “digital” agenda extends from customer experience and operational efficiency to big data and analytics. In financial services, we have seen this approach applied to payments, retail banking, insurance, and wealth management, and migrating toward institutional areas such as capital markets and commercial banking.
The digital business disruption requires that systems, services, APIs, data and processes are accessible through multiple ecosystems anywhere, anytime, and from any device over the internet. This expands the surface area for attackers to target and puts security and risk management leaders in a position where they must make intelligent, risk-based decisions about which security technologies they choose to manage the risk to their business.
This session will challenge the common security mindset of “inside means trusted” and “outside means untrusted” and instead take our focus to the digital business, which requires anywhere, anytime, any device access to services that may not be located “inside” an on-premises data center. We will review how zero trust network access provides adaptive, identity-aware, precision access. Removing network location as a position of advantage, while improving overall security to the firm and its data.
