Cybersecurity programs are a critical component of corporate competitiveness in the age of digital transformation; security executives play a critical role in ensuring their success. The NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) was developed to help organizations build and maintain a cybersecurity program that aligns with an organization's risk tolerance. Senior leaders can successfully leverage the NIST CSF by creating a NIST profile, identifying existing cybersecurity capabilities and conducting a gap analysis between those capabilities and the NIST profile targets.
Workshop participants will focus on four critical aspects of their company's NIST CSF Alignment Plan:
- Identify and evaluate the impact of the "top 20" NIST CSF outcomes that set the stage for a strong cybersecurity program
- Incorporate "quick win" outcomes to create momentum
- Understand and address the "roadblock" outcomes that cause an initiative to fail
- Align existing cybersecurity program functions and capabilities with the NIST Framework
