The COVID-19 Pandemic caused IT departments to scramble as they were forced to move large numbers of employees and resources to work remotely away from the corporate offices and campuses. The redistribution of computing resources lacked controls CISOs would typically require and caused a new set of security vulnerabilities never before seen. Having security protocols, policies, and procedures in place that worked before the pandemic do not mean that those same controls will serve the ever-changing “new normal.” As companies are reopening and personnel and resources are coming back to the office, CISOs are once again challenged to make decisions fueled by corporate pressures. This panel will discuss the most significant risks facing businesses and the most crucial business and cybersecurity issues facing CISOs and IT security teams, compliance, legal, HR, and operations executives.
