Ms. Velma Latson

Dr. Velma C. Latson is a lecturer in the Department of Technology & Security at Bowie State University. She has over 25 years of extensive experience in cybersecurity, teaching, and conduction research involving system engineering and information technology. She supported the US Air Staff at the Pentagon during the Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm. Velma has many publications in her research area and conducted presentations and workshops at national and regional conferences. _x000D_
Velma served honorable in the United State Air Force supporting the United States Air Force staff at the Pentagon and the Technical Operations Division for the Air Force Technical Application Center at Patrick AFB Florida. _x000D_
Velma holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in information systems from Hawaii Pacific University, a master’s degree in instructional technology from Towson University, and a doctorate in management from the University of Maryland University College.
