Carol Quillen is experienced as a Vice President of Risk Management for a financial services company. In this role, she was responsible for the management and development of an enterprise risk management program, which includes strategic, operational, financial, regulatory and reputational risk. She has more than 20 years of experience in risk management in the financial services industry, gaining expertise in risk management, information security and business continuity. She has an additional four years of experience in military intelligence in the US Army. She earned her B.S. in Information Management from William Penn University in 2006 and an M.S. in Information Assurance from the University of Dallas in 2009. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Information Security at Capella University. After earning the CISSP, and CISA certification, she joined the board of the local chapter of ISACA where she served as program chair. She has also obtained the CBCP certification and served as the first chair of the central Iowa chapter of Safeguard Iowa Partnership. She is currently studying the tools, controls and techniques developers in the financial services industry need to secure the CI/CD pipeline in the cloud to reduce vulnerabilities and deliver business value faster.
