Michael Hoehl is CISO, Director Cybersecurity with over 20 years of experience in Information Security serving Fortune 500, Retail, Health, Financial Services, and Manufacturing Industries. In his current role, Michael leads Carpenter Technology’s Global Cybersecurity Program, including strategy, operations, threat and incident response, vulnerability management, information governance, third-party security risk management, technology compliance, and security architecture. Michael has advised and helped multiple colleges establish their information security education programs. He also enjoys teaching Cybersecurity and Penetration Testing classes to grow much needed future security practitioners.
Michael’s credentials include a Master of Science in Information Security Management from SANS Technology Institute and several certifications including CISSP, CISA, ITIL, and PMP. His published papers include: “Framework for building a Comprehensive Enterprise Security Patch Management Program”; “Proposal for standard Cloud Computing Security SLAs – Key Metrics for Safeguarding Confidential Data in the Cloud”; and, “Creating a monthly Information Security Scorecard for CIO and CFO”.
