Threat Intelligence is the art and process of learning everything we can about our adversaries in order to tailor our defenses to defeat their impending attacks. Organized crime has moved online and nation-state sponsored groups continue to attack civilian targets. Through cyber threat intelligence, we will learn how to identify the various attackers’ tools and methods, and then use that data to block those attacks even before we are the intended target. This moves our defenses from reactionary to proactive. This workshop will provide an introduction to the sources of threat data, how to process it, how to synthesize it into actionable intelligence, and then how to use that intelligence to better your defenses.
