Associate Cybersecurity Engineer

Thomas Sager is an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer at the Center for Internet Security, and a member of the CIS Controls team. His primary responsibility is “Chief Cartographer”, responsible for the cross-mapping of the CIS Controls to other security frameworks like PCI and CMMC. He is also working on the Controls Assessment Specification, a way to provide a common understanding of what should be measured in order to verify that individual sub-controls (Safeguards) are properly implemented. Prior to his work at CIS, Thomas was a security consultant for a federal contractor.
