Session Abstract: The 2021 US Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported that the Veterans Administration struggles to secure information systems and associated data; implement information security controls and mitigate known security deficiencies; establish key elements of a cybersecurity risk management program; and identify, assess, and mitigate the risks of information and communications technology supply chains. To address the outcomes from the GAO report, ZTA is being adopted within the largest healthcare network enterprise system in the United States. This session will discuss the organizational change strategies (barriers and successes) to move forward with the ZTA initiative.Summary: ZTA is being adopted across Veteran Affairs, the most extensive healthcare network enterprise system in the United States.
