Session Abstract: Keeping up with changing cybersecurity requirements can be challenging, but the NIST Cybersecurity Framework is here to help! During this session we will provide an overview of the CSF, walk through the planned updates for version 2.0 expected in early 2024, and provide examples of how to streamline existing requirements (both compliance and business focused)! Learn about the CSF and how it can help you build a more effective cybersecurity program. Trying to figure out what your suppliers are (and aren’t) doing? Let’s talk about it! Thinking about how to manage and govern all of these requirements? Let’s dig in!

Summary: During this session we’ll walk through the planned updates for the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 expected in early 2024 and provide examples of how to streamline your existing requirements (both compliance and business focused!) into this industry standard today!

Additional Information: The Cybersecurity Framework is currently undergoing an update process facilitated by NIST which is targeted for completion by the end of 2023 to enable publication of v2.0 in early 2024. This Framework has become an industry standard for companies across sectors to use to streamline and better communication the state of their cybersecurity programs. The planned expanded scope of the Framework will make this session relevant to all conference attendees regardless of their sector. In this session, we will share our lessons learned from using the Framework since its original release in 2014 and provide an overview of the expected changes from being active participants in the NIST working groups.
