The NIST AI Risk Management Framework: Some Legal Perspectives
Governance, Regulation and Compliance
About

Session Abstract: The January 26, 2023, NIST release of its AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF 1.0) came at a particularly auspicious time: AI software called ChatGPT had been released just the month prior, and quickly demonstrated an ability to identify weaknesses in code, generate malware, and craft convincing phishing emails. NIST’s rationale for the development of the Framework was to better manage risks to individuals, organizations, and society associated with AI. In this presentation, data protection attorneys will offer their perspectives on the potential for the Framework to manage risks to your organization.
