The State of Passwordless Authentication
Identity, Authentication and Access Control
About
Passwords have been aptly described as the cockroaches of the Internet – no one wants them around, but we can’t seem to get rid of them. This is despite widespread awareness that passwords are the leading source of data breaches, not to mention countless headaches for users and IT administrators alike. That being said, the industry at large has rallied behind passkeys – which are already supported by Apple, Google and Microsoft in their operating systems – finally seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel of password dependence. This session will discuss how passkeys are emerging as a true password replacement, and will educate attendees on key considerations for how they should consider passkeys and other passwordless solutions for their own enterprises.
