Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences
Graduated in Mathematics as well as Information Technology, Frans started as a researcher on Object Oriented Database, he has worked as a consultant on Unix-Security, where he created several security applications to protect Unix-systems. At the sorting centre for registered mail of the Dutch postal organisation he created the technical infrastructure and implemented several sub-systems in which efficiency, reliability and security were key factors. At NSCS-NL he worked on the implementation of an IDS for the Dutch government with special requirements about privacy non-centralised storage of network events. Currently he is a lecturer at AUAS (Cyber Security department), teaching several aspects like Threat Intelligence, Software Security, Applied Cryptography among others. His research topics include TLS, secure storage and search-tactics for network anomalies as IoCs.
