Johnathan Rudy is a Senior Corporate Counsel with TransUnion, focusing on data protection and cybersecurity. He spent ten years as an active-duty Marine Corps Judge Advocate and continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve as the Reserve Staff Judge Advocate (General Counsel) for Marine Corps Information Command, Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command, and Marine Corps Forces Space Command. His last active-duty position was as the Chief of Cyber Operations Law for the Marine Corps. While on Active duty, he held numerous positions, including Chief of Cyber Operations Law, Adjunct Professor of Law at the United States Naval Academy, Assistant Prosecutor with the Military Commissions in Guantanamo Bay, Criminal Defense Counsel, Military Police Company Commander, and Legal Assistance attorney. He earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in National Security Law, an LL.M. in Intelligence and Cyber Law from The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, and a B.A. in Political Science from Baldwin Wallace College.
