The DHS Office of Cyber, Infrastructure, Risk and Resilience Policy works at the forefront of emerging technology integration and risk mitigation for the U.S. Government. While AI development has progressed rapidly, it still faces limitations and hurdles to maximize computing power and algorithm optimization. Quantum-enabled AI systems have the power to unlock future advancements in these AI/ML technologies, and research into this new frontier is just beginning. DHS Policy aims to support critical infrastructure and industry partners as they prepare for quantum AI by presenting all-hazards risk analysis frameworks and providing guidelines for emerging technology that foster innovation.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will understand how quantum-enabled AI/ML technologies can lead to transformative leaps in AI development, and the new risks this will introduce
At the end of this session, participants will understand how DHS Policy is approaching its role in developing risk analysis frameworks for AI/ML to guide critical infrastructure and private industry stakeholders in the development and implementation of emerging disruptive technologies
At the end of this session, participants will better understand the implications of emerging quantum technology, including quantum sensing and quantum neural network models, on AI-enabled technology advancements
