What to do After the Business Email Compromise Happens
About

What happens after all of our training and preventative efforts have failed and a erroneous payment has been made to a fraudster? What role does insurance play? Can the payment be recovered? What evidence should be preserved?
What are the legal and factual issues that are likely to arise in a dispute between the victims? For the company that made the payment, and the company that is expecting payment for the goods/services rendered, what can be done to minimize the financial harm and preserve their rights in litigation?

Learning Objectives:

  • At the end of this session, participants will understand the differences in coverage for cybersecurity and general fraud insurance coverage
