Generative AI’s debut in November 2022 brought with it truly revolutionary changes in how business, science, and government are conducted. It also changed entirely the concept of a device or system’s “attack surface,” i.e., the number of all possible attack vectors where a threat actor can access and extract or compromise data. Not surprisingly, with a greatly expanded attack surface comes a greatly expanded legal exposure. In the presentation, a panel of cybersecurity and AI attorneys will examine just how existential this new dynamic is and what you, your team, and your counsel can do about it.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the “big picture” of the cybersecurity requirements of AI and non-AI laws and the corresponding legal exposure
- Obtain an analysis of leading on-point publications and frameworks from MITRE, OWASP, and NIST
- Review case studies of organizations that were and were not successful in meeting this new challenge
