WORLD PASS WORKSHOP: Cyber Capabilities at Risk - A CISO Workshop
About

Cyber risk is workforce risk, and traditional cybersecurity models that silo security operations, risk management, and compliance leave organizations vulnerable. Recent years have brought significant cybersecurity challenges extending beyond the CVEs, SEC breach reporting, and ransomware attacks dominating headlines. Widespread budget cuts, increased reliance on outsourced talent outside the U.S, layoffs, and hiring freezes for permanent roles have disrupted operational progress, leaving the cybersecurity workforce under immense strain. Burnout, misaligned responsibilities, and the underutilization or over-utilization of talent are threatening both employee retention and organizational security.

This session explores cyber workforce risk management as the solution. Attendees will learn how to document talent utilization, map organizational capabilities, and align career aspirations with workload management. With data-driven insights and actionable strategies, organizations can shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive workforce planning.
