The rapid advance of AI is impacting all kinds of careers, and those of us in the security field have been early adopters of AI for both offensive and defensive purposes. In this talk, the speaker, who has direct experience as both a public company CISO and working at an AI security startup, will systematically go through the major components of a modern security organization and show examples of how AI has already impacted each team’s work. We will discuss how AI is being deployed by attackers, and attempt to project forward how the current trends in AI development will impact teams in the years ahead. The talk will close with career advice on how security professionals can work to stay relevant in such uncertain times and how we train the next generation when many of the traditional entry points to security have been made redundant by AI.
