Session Presented by CATO Networks: Humans Are Not the Weakest Link. Guess Who fAIls?
About
For years, humans were considered the weakest link in cybersecurity—but with the emergence of AI, threat actors have shifted their focus to target AI systems. This session reviews the four reasons humans were seen as the weakest link—human error, susceptibility to social engineering, difficulty changing behavior, and insider threat— and then examines how AI systems fail in these very same categories. Participants will dive into real-world examples and research on how attackers target enterprise AI systems and explore what organizations need to consider before implementing AI-based solutions— or addressing those employees are already bringing into the workplace.
In this session you will:
Review the four reasons humans have been considered the weakest link in cybersecurity
Explore how AI systems exhibit similar weaknesses and how attackers exploit them
Examine real-world examples and research on AI-targeted attacks
Understand what organizations must consider before implementing AI-based solutions
