The 10 Most Important Information Security Books You Should Read
About

Information security is a dynamic field, and unless an information security professional stays current, they’ll have an obsolete set of skills. Reading is fundamental for information security professionals and those who want to be.

The Cybersecurity Canon was started in 2014, and members identify lists of must-read books for cybersecurity professionals or those looking to enter the security industry.

The list of books in the Canon and candidates for entry includes both non-fiction and fiction books.

This session will show how reading is fundamental for information security, showcase the Cybersecurity Canon, and discuss how successful information security professionals constantly learn and read.

It will also showcase the most important books you should read.

Objectives:

·         Understand the importance of continuing education by reading

·         Detail the 10 most important information security books

·         Introduction to the Cybersecurity Canon

·         Have an extensive list of books to help inspire, enlighten, and communicate to peers and co-workers a deeper understanding of why what they do is important.

·         Be inspired to seek out new books that help put the daily grind in a broader societal and historical perspective.

Know where to go to find historical knowledge of how the profession has evolved in recent decades.
