Heverin Joy is currently a Technical Manager, Global Network Security, for McDonald's Corporation. With a background as a military spouse, musician, and customer service/tech support rep well versed in asking "Can you hear me now?", Joy shifted careers and joined Sirius Computer Solutions (acquired by CDW)  through their Academy training program in 2019. During her tenure with Sirius and CDW, she earned an M.S. in Information Assurance, multiple professional cloud and security certifications, and worked on projects ranging from BC/DR, patch assessment, Cloud Security (GCP and Azure), SIEM playbook development, and Network Security management. Outside of work Joy has been a contributing member and workstream co-lead of the Cloud Security Alliance's research working group for Zero Trust, mentor and mentee in the WiCyS (2023) Mentorship program, and spends time with her human family, two cats, and a herd of large fluffy dogs.
