About
Rupinder Pal Singh is a cybersecurity leader who bridges the gap between technical compliance and human behavior. Currently serving as the Manager of Information Security Audit and Compliance at NICE, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the field, holding dual Master’s degrees in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. This background drives his focus on the intersection of psychology and security, particularly in dismantling "compliance theater" to build genuinely effective, human-centric governance structures.
Holding CISSP, CISM, CISA, and CRISC certifications, Rupinder has extensive experience navigating complex frameworks, including FedRAMP, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 42001. His current research focuses heavily on AI governance, where he developed the UNICORN framework for evaluating Large Language Model guardrails—a methodology accepted for presentation at IEEE SVCC 2026.
A dedicated contributor to the broader infosec community, Rupinder actively helps shape industry standards. He serves as an exam item writer and technical reviewer for ISACA, a beta tester for their AI Audit certification, and a scholarship reviewer for ISC2. He is also a frequent speaker at industry events, bringing practical, hype-free insights to conferences like BSides SLC, BSides San Diego & RMISC.
