Session Abstract: The role of CISO is complex and demanding. CISOs face challenges that are more widespread and varied than in years past and the need for expertise spanning multiple disciplines is growing. This session will provide the CISO (or those who are considering a CISO position) an overview of ten of the most prevalent legal issues for 2023. After completion, attendees will - Appreciate the top legal issues facing CISOs - Understand some of the questions CISOs should be asking legal counsel and the board - Be able to evaluate their organization’s preparation to face the legal issues presented.

Summary: The role of CISO is complex and demanding, and the need for expertise spanning multiple disciplines is growing. This session will provide the CISO (or CISO candidate) an overview of ten of the most prevalent legal issues for 2023.
