About

Session Abstract: This session will discuss cyber ethics and the threats to security as they relate the American healthcare system. Hospital infrastructure, data stores, IoT devices, and electronic health records (EHR) are vulnerable targets subject to constant attack. The current regulatory and legal requirements do not adequately address the cyber threat. Now is a crucial time to focus on the importance of cyber security and the privacy of health data and systems, which are critical to providing ethical care to patients. The current healthcare system is not designed with security at its foundation and fundamentally puts patients and providers at risk.

Summary: This session will discuss cyber ethics and the threats to security as they relate the American healthcare system.
