Colin Soutar is Managing Director in Deloitte & Touche LLP, and is the Deloitte US lead for quantum cyber readiness. He has over two decades of experience of cyber experience, spanning biometric, digital identity, and quantum technologies. He helps organizations develop and execute their cybersecurity risk management strategies. In 2013, he helped NIST develop the Cybersecurity Framework. Prior to his current role, Colin served for almost 10 years as CTO for a biometric and identity management company. He began his career with a post-doctorate fellowship at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, developing pattern recognition techniques for autonomous rendezvous and capture operations.
