Lance Aquino is a Security Operations Lead with over two decades of experience across enterprise IT and cybersecurity. He began his career on the service desk and spent many years working in infrastructure roles spanning network engineering, server operations, and identity systems before transitioning naturally into security. That background shapes his approach to SecOps today—focusing on detection fidelity, investigation workflows, and building security programs that work in real, operational environments. Lance has led SIEM and SOC transformations, improved detection and response maturity, and helped bridge the gap between security teams and the infrastructure groups they support. He holds a variety of industry certifications, including a CISSP and CHFI, and is currently a Master’s degree candidate in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, with expected graduation in December 2026.
